| When Carmen trained in the Bay in the mid fifties, I stood in a line full of boys to get his autograph adorned with my six shooters and cowboy boots. I think it was 1956 or 1957 and I was eight or nine years old. I met John Pepe Jr. at Rt. 37 Bldg. Supply where I work. I didn't know his last name at that time. Had I known who he was, I would have told him that I was acquainted with his father through bluegrass. Nevertheless, I couldn't attend this event last Saturday night because I was playing bluegrass music for an event. Sorry I missed it, but thanks for the pictures and the video. |
