Regal Tones Concert (PICTURES) - Sunday, July 08, 2007 at 12:28:42 PM

These pictures were submitted to the site. They are the from the Regal Tones Concert that was held at Bonnie Castle Recreation center last night.

From what I undertand this was some sort of Battle of the Bands and the Regal Tones are actually a band that Joe and Albert Bouchard from BLUE OYSTER CULT were originally in back in high school. If I am wrong about that please leave a comment with any relevant information.

The comments in blue are from the person that sent in the pictures.

"The concert was awesome. Many said it was great bringing back a concert to alex bay."

"Alex Bay Fire Department did the Chicken BBQ and the Beer at the regal tone concert to raise funds.

We where happy to have them and help them out as this is a great cause.

The Redwood Fire Department did the parking for a fund raiser and the Alex Bay Minor Hockey did the soda at a fund raiser."

Thank you to Char for all her hard work and to the Bouchard brothers for making this battle of the bands possible. A great time was had by all. I worked the concert last year and had just as much fun as this year!! The crowd was not as large as expected but everyone enjoyed the variety of bands - they were all awesome!! Looking forward to next year!! :-)

The Regal Tones put on a great show, but I was almost as impressed with the bands competing in the Battle of the Bands. Congrats to the winners, "Minus Mike"...Where do YOU Rock? Also, one of my favorite local bands is The List...Voodoo Ragdollz out of Syracuse were very polished. Too bad about the light crowd...those of us there had a great time!

The Regal Tones were a high school band back in the 60's.
They played at Barn Dances and other events. They won the "Battle of the Bands" back then.
The group was started by Teddy Streets and Edward Bazinet. Steve Lalond was also a member. Joe and Albert did go on to play in Blue Oyster Cult.

Wouldn't it be great to have a reunion of the Midnight Ryders? Reggie, Tony, Fred and Tom. Remember them?

Yes the Regal tones are a great band. They were the band in the sixties when we use to enjoy them at all the dances they played at. The concert at Clayton last summer was awesome too. Hey Alex Bay firemen How about them playing for your firemen's dance Get a band like the Regaltones and there will be people there.
