| What is it with the Rum Runner & Mayonnaise? - Thursday, August 02, 2007 at 11:59:23 AM

It's been going on there as long as I can remember but is just seems that the kitchen at the Rum Runner just wants to spred frigin Mayonnaise all over everything they sell.

I order a Cheeseburger and I specifically say PLEASE - No Mayonnaise.. I say NO REALLY I"M SERIOUS - PLEASE - No Mayonnaise..
And of course get Mayonnaise on my Cheeseburger...
Same thing happens when I order a Grilled Chicken Sandwich and ask for No Mayonnaise....
Then when I ask for a new bun with no Mayonnaise they look at me like I never said I didn't want any.
Mayonnaise on a chicken sandwich I can understand, but Mayonnaise has no business being on a Cheeseburger. That my friends is just wrong.
I mean why do they want to put Mayonnaise on a Cheeseburger by default anyway. Doesn't it make more sense to only put Mayonnaise on a Cheeseburger when someone asks for it. They would save a little money too. I doubt many people would ask for it and people like me wouldn't ask them for a new roll with no Mayonnaise on it.
However, I realize some of you goofy bastards out there actually like Mayonnaise on your Cheeseburger. You people need help.
Regardless, I suppose the real point of this news item is that when you ask for no Mayonnaise you shouldn't get any. 9 times out of ten at the Rum Runner you get it anyway.
Maybe by putting this on the site they will make some changes. More likely I will get more Mayonnaise than ever the next time I go there for a Cheeseburger. :)
RUM RUNNER - I AM GIVING YOU A BIG FAT WTF! WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR ABUSE OF MAYONNAISE.
THAT BEING SAID I STILL RECOMMENED THE RUM RUNNER AS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT AND ALSO A GREAT PLACE TO HAVE SOME DRINKS . THEY JUST NEED TO STOP PUSHING ALL THE MAYONNAISE ON PEOPLE. |

| fyi...the mayo is basically everything (except the steamed clams, lol!) the ham and turkey sandwich (where is the meat? its hiding under all the damn mayo!) and the crab mayo sandwich, well most of it got thrown to the seagulls they seemed to like it, but they do like most things dont they????

| OMG! I thought I was the only one that noticed this! I asked my husband to go there with me (nice view) not realizing this Mayo thing was going to happen he was so pissed he was going to knock someone out, I calmed him but he vowed never to go near the place again (I like the view and atmosphere, I will go back, lol!) hold the friggin' may for christ sake!

Um, are you sure that is mayo? Could be the diswasher's special sauce.

| I have to agree with you on this. I frequent the Rum Rummer all summer and it happens to me a lot. I am not sure if the kitchen is mayonnaise happy or the girls just don't listen to you when you place your order.

| That being said, I still really like rumrunners food. The mayonaise thing is just an annoyance.

| I'm with you on this. One of my pet peves at rumrunner or anywhere else for that matter is mayonaise on burgers. Especially when they don't list in the description of whats on the sandwich. I don't ask for no mayonaise if I don't know its on there to start with.
