VIDEO Interview by Abay.com.. (filmed october 8th 2008 at 7pm)

The person in the middle did not want his face shown.

The video below contains comments made after the initial interview session.

I do have additonal interview footage that I will be posting as soon as I have time to get it up so stay tuned for that.

Pictures that were sent in to the site..

If you have any good pictures of this job site please send them in to the site.

Below is info on that paint that is discussed in the video. This is great news since while at the job site I spent a lot of time grinding paint off pieces of truck body for electricl contact reasons.

"The following is a warning about CARC paints from the Army:
CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) is a two-component polyurethane paint (defined in MIL-C-46168) used as a finishing coat on military combat equipment. CARC is designed to be easily decontaminated after exposure to liquid chemical agents, and the coating also is resistant to water, weather, hydrocarbons and acids. Component A is a polyester resin and Component B is an aliphatic isocyanate curing agent. Unfortunately, CARC chemicals represent a significant hazard to human health if not processed properly. YOU MUST AVOID CARC PAINT!! The military applies CARC and removes CARC only in carefully regulated, specially built coating facilities. It should never be utilized without special respirators, protective clothing, and hazardous waste disposal. This warning also applies to removal of CARC: do not sand or use any other process which will generate dust with CARC residue."

Dear Dave, do you not feel that people should be paid for the services that they provide. That is how our system works, you get paid for services rendered. I would venture a guess that your PR firm pays you to be a huge douche bag 24 /7 dont they? People like you are the problem with this country, you stick up for criminals in a cheep attempt to give them credibility. Well dave I bid you farewell good luck with all your douchbagery. O yeah by the way no amount of money you get will ever by back your soul. Pack some shorts I hear Hell is hot this time of year.

Dave since were talking about illegal things you forgot to mention...
1.Disposing of toxic waste improperly.
2.Not following simple safety laws.
3.Not paying workers.
4.Losing ss# and personal info in the dumpster right next to the toxic waste.
5.Idiots like you who have no clue what went on offering there two cents in a issue that does not concern them.
Dave get your facts straight. Your a army ass kissing sheep who would go along with anything they told you. Even if it was a outright lie.

Comments by ''dave'' from United States on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 1:50:29 PM - IP Logged
When ya get a part now adays it may be green it may be sand. The army says use it, color does not matter. You will notice even in the illegal pics above. They installed sand color cabs on green trucks.
But if a unit wants to paint them, all they have to do is get some paint and have at it.

Comments by ''Hammonite'' from United States on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:35:40 AM - IP Logged
So Dave . thats why they paint the green ones and cobb em up ? huh ?

Comments by ''dave'' from United States on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:28:04 AM - IP Logged
Hammonite, if you knew anything about it, you would know that army policy now says you will use what ever color, there is no color matching requirement.

Were you guys repairing the lighting on these vehicles too ? I guess METS didnt know where they could accuire Desert Tan Lighting for these vehicles ? I see that Army Green ones were being bolted on . So much for Cammoflage "in theater"

well for one dave if you dont work for mets then you really dont have any say in the discussion because you dont knwo how we were treated and the conditions we were working in as for anonymos obviousely you were one of the guys from out of town but heres the thing how can we follow simple directions for installing the stuff when you have out of town workers that dont even know what there doing as well as when we are told that the directions are over 50% incorrect? and as for out working yeah there may have been some but i can gurantee the majority of the locals can out work all the of the out of state guys that came up as i have actually seen personally but i will give credit to some of the out of state guys cause there were some that were working just as hard if not harder than alot of the local guys as for your tools stolen it awfully funny how when the tools were supposedly stolen by the local guys on the night shift which i find hard to believe because i was there i worked the night shift and the only guys that were allowed to stay the night before the tools were stolen were the guys from lexington and new boston so if you want to start accusing ppl of theft start looking at the out of state guys and find out who was around when the items in question were stolen.

You need to get your story straight before making some video badmouthing everyone but yourselves. If the local hires would have followed the simple directions and not screwed up so many trucks, they wouldnt have been fired. And on top of that, what kind of person goes and steals another mans tools just because they are mad that the out of towners take their job seriously and can out work them. Get your sh*t straight before running your mouth!

Steve Beldon just called and right now he and others are at the gate of fort drum. There because there was a chance they could get their paychecks today. One Mets mets guy told them on the last day of the job to be there today. Guess what, Drum is not letting them on the base. A news crew is on the way.

I will clarify one thing, I do not work for METS, and never have.

I was too an employee under METS that was lied to right to my face. The company should of been straight out and forward with everyone from the beginning instead of beating around the bushes. Not only now that I am out of work but i can not go back to my previous job either.

Comments by ''Troy Comstock'' from United States on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 8:46:17 AM - IP Logged
Dave I can understand your view and your opinion. And I'm not trying to sound hostile but you sound like someone that either works for Ft. Drum on the cover up side or You could be a METS employee or just a person concerned that we may be blowing things way out of proportion. On either instance is not truly relevant however I only ask this... If Mets Truly believe they did nothing wrong, or gave false information why did they pull all of there contact information, locations information, and job openings information from there page and why are they not returning the calls to the new's reporters or anyone investigating the claim?

Comments by ''Nick'' from United States on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 8:14:46 AM - IP Logged
Dave, of course there are things that are beyond their control. But, that does not change the fact that they lied. They did not give the impression that this was an unstable or short term job. They straight out said six months. They knew they would not be here that long. They just made all the new hires think that so they could get 150 or so people to take a short term job.

Comments by ''dave'' from United States on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 8:09:41 AM - IP Logged
I like the pictures, but I notice that the people that took them must not read, since they forgot to read the big sign that says its a federal crime to take pictures there without permission. This crime being a federal felony.

Comments by ''Dave1'' from United States on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 6:12:15 AM - IP Logged
Nick,
There were supposed to be twice as many vehicles done, with a possibility of double that, however we are forgetting the US ARMY controlled that and they deceided to change the number of vehicles. METS nor anyone else had any control over that.

my bro inlaw nick passed the message to his sister my wife about the job.she tried to convince me to go for the job, but i said no. she didnt understand why, i told her the job didnt seem right.i knew this job was some type of a scam and some friends of mine and others who are hard working and honest people were used and lied to.sorry guys.

Comments by ''Nick'' from United States on Thursday, October 09, 2008 at 10:46:37 PM - IP Logged
Dave, you can be fired at any time for any reason from any job, documents or not. But they knowingly lied about how much work they had. Two days before everyone was laid off they said there was another shipment of trucks coming. When they did the hiring they guaranteed 45 days of work. Reggie who did the hiring said that he thought the job would go to March at a minimum with a good chance of long term employment. They lied to us on a daily basis.

Comments by ''Dave'' from United States on Thursday, October 09, 2008 at 10:02:05 PM - IP Logged
Did all you gentleman and ladies that were hired by METS forget about the documents you signed that said you could be terminated at anytime for any reason.
Seems you all forgot that part of your contract. Secondly everyone knew exactly how many vehicles were to be done, you saw the kits there every day, any one with a third grade education could have figured out how much work there was.

I am the wife of a former METS employee and mother of another, we have five children at home and took the full family health plan which may be deducted from the short two weeks of work that my husband put in. He thought that he had six months of work with good possibility of permanent full time work thereafter. We expected to actually be able to weather the north winter being able to pay for heat with this job. He quit his current job for this oppotunity to work for a company cotracted under the government(what a lucky break)!

They straight out lied to us to get a job done. They only had a few weeks of work and knew it, but they needed around 140 new hires to complete it before their deadline. So, to get that many people to take the job they told us we would have six months of work and a strong chance of having long term employment. I just hope that we don't have trouble getting paid too.
