Great coverage of the meeting guys, What was up with HUBBA BUBBA not backing off with that waste management bid. Couldn't he see that the people at the meeting didn't want to out source garbage. These guys working for the village need to feed their wife and kids. And like a public concern asked, really how much if any are you going to save? I wonder what was going to happen in (Executive Session) do you think they are going to give someone the axe? stay tuned!!

I am fried, this has been a heck of a couple of days. I am going to bed. Now I want all of you posters to listen very carefully. While I sleep I do not want anyone posting. If you post while I am asleep then I can not keep an eye on what you say. That is the way that some people see things, but not me.

The announcement of a Village Board Web site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
About time! I think you can hear my comments on the audio that if is was not for the posters in this forum that the Board would still be talking about it at the NEXT election!!!!! Instead there was actually a person at tonights meeting that is going to start working on it. They even have domain names reserved for this new site. Although I do NOT think ABAY.COM is available

If they really want the domain "abay.com" I might consider selling it to them for ohh... say $200,000.00

To the men that pick up our garbage and recycling.
One of the Trustee's said I thought you guys did not like working the garbage truck!
One of you said it is a job and it takes care of your family.
I have to give you guys alot of credit for working that job week after week and you do it well!

I know that some of the board members do not read the posts in this Forum.
I can tell you for a fact that at Least ONE Trustee has them read to him.
To the Trustee's
Whoever reads them to you can change the whole meaning of a post by accidently leaving a word out or putting their own voice inflections in as they read it to you. This can slant the true intention of the post.
My advice is READ ALL THE POSTS YOURSELF do not rely on another person to read it for you, they may leave a post out that can change the meaning of the posters thoughts. That way the Trustee can draw his own conclusions.
I may or may not like some of what the Board puts on their new web site but,
I HAVE TO SEE IT FOR MYSELF
THE BOARD SHOULD DO THE SAME WITH THIS FORUM

After I heard the news of a Village Board Website, I did a little research on a Web Name for this noble endeavor.
Abay.com is not available, although it is used frequently by the spouses of village and town board members.
The next choice, which should be obvious, is: HOGWASH.com . Regrettably, this is also taken by, of all groups, a manufacturer of CHOKE CLEANER.
Forget about HOGWASH ON MYSPACE, that's a French Punk Band. Sorry boys, try again.
I think HOGWASH.Gov is available, but you have start acting like a government entity to be eligible for that domain.
In other words, you can't just have a meeting every two weeks and rant about firing somebody. You actually have to do something positive, and for the good of all the community to use the .gov option.
Maybe you should hold off on that one for a year or so. See how the garbage thing goes over.
The board mandate seems to be, "don't you worry, darlin, we're here to save you money." Although you're $50,000 in the hole and no chief of police, now you're looking at garbage contractors? How about Haliburton Corp for the trash pickup and, maybe BlackWater for the police protection? They both might be looking for domestic work this fall.
Some other Website name options, anyone?

Why is the village golf course not open? There are people up there playing (including using their private carts) and the village is not collecting green fees. I know some are going to LA Golf to play that would play at the village is they were open. Does the village trustee that is in charge of the golf course not want to take in some money including season passes, etc.? They are re-modeling the club house which is great but can't they open the old club house and let people pay for season passes and daily fees? Come on village!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are some good questions! Maybe you could come to the village board meeting this tuesday the 22nd and ask and get an answer from the village board during the public concerns portion of the meeting [ as long as you are a village resident ]. Remember that part is at the beginning and once you state your concern you can leave the meeting or stay if you want. Nobody will talk about you once you leave  |

The village is re-modeling the old club house. Previously they were going to build a new one after tearing down the old one BUT had no money. Good thing they didn't tear down the old one. Now they are fixing the club house but are using "new hires" without advertisingfor the jobs(discussed in prev notes). $25.00 p/h compared to other workers with longer time on the job. Anothe issue, SORRY!!!!!!!

I asked Mayor Robb about the new Village website. He assured me that he would talk to Trustee Sweet to see what the status was and an estimate when it will make its debut!
