(Picture taken Feb 11th, 2009)

I just got a call from Riveredge Resort General Manager Christine Penrose and she stated that the Riveredge will be open on February 27th, 2009 which is just in time for the Polar Bear Dip event.

She also provided the following information..

The new owners will eventually have a press release, but for now they would just like everyone to know that they have every intention of bringing the resort back to it's former glory.

To clarify a few things..

Yes, it's been sold. Yes, it has new owners..
The Hotel will be open full time again starting on the 27th.
The lounge should be open on the 27th.
The main restaurant will not be open on the 27th, but will back in operation as soon as possible.

Below is contact information for the Riveredge.. They are ready to take reservations for the Polar Bear Dip so please don't hesitate to give them a call.

It was a place of splendor that Donagans worked hard to build up, it was sad to see it slip so badly.  Good luck bringing it back!

We enjoyed the "Anniversary Party" last weekend.  The purveyors of spirits, the excellent food stations and the Steel Band .....all were terrific.  Just stayed the one night....all services seemed to be recovering.  Will return.   Perth
